Emerald Bay
A downloadable game for Windows, macOS, and Android
Emerald Bay is a visual novel taking place in the coastal city of it's namesake. You, the human main character, is a refugee from a faraway land and is now finding yourself in a country where your species is no longer the majority.
The game will feature four dateable characters (at the moment) as well as a main story that runs through all four routes, dealing with the difficulties that arise when trying to create a new home in a country that is so unlike your own.
The current public build is Build 3, but a remastered version up to Build 4 exists on my Patreon and will be released when Build 5 is available for my Patrons. If you're intrigued, please come to my Patreon and show your support and get early access!
Everything in the game is created by me, PaxTerra, except the sound effects and music. I'm using this project to push my skills and hope that I end up on the other end as a much better artist and game developer.
Apart from Patreon and Twitter (links above), you can also find me on FurAffinity!
Hope you enjoy my project and look forward to the rest of the progress!

I like the story but it's true that it's short and yet I can't wait to see what happens next.
It was a very good VN but it was a little short
I don't have any comments to say but I can just say this, I have already shared this VN with other friends and I think the story was incredible there were moments of sadness, joy and angry it's crazy honestly 5 stars without hesitation
I quite liked it. The idea of using setting with anthros as an allegory of fitting in in a new country is quite original, and the subject of immigration becomes only more relevant as the time goes by. I only hope the project won't get abandoned.
Thank you! Don't worry, I'm not abandoning this. :)
> Just wanted to inform you that I'm going to be pausing my Patreon for around 2-3 months as I deal with personal issues…
Why don’t you just cancel this already? Don’t clog itch.io store with unfinished games any further please, its very annoying.
Will there be a MAC version
Eventually yes. I will schedule time for it. :)
Is build 2 going to go public soon?
Probably after Build 3 is released to Patreon. :)
I really appreciate the speeches and the idea is very interesting, Can't wait to see more. Gambaremas <3 ;
Thank you so much!
This has mad potential keep up the good work
Thank you! I will!
A decent start. There aren't that many stories tackling racism specifically between humans and beastmen in a modern setting.
Once the beastmen love interests (presumably) are introduced, I would recommend post some screenshots of them on the main page. I say this because a few people I know glanced at the art and thought this was an all human story and didn't check it out. Silly I know.
Good luck and hope to read more soon.
Yeah, I was aware that some would interpret it that way but they are coming! Its a slow-burn story so there will be plenty of anthros in the near future and the screenshots will reflect that. :)
I can't wait for more! A good start
Thank you! :D
Very interesting premise so far. Looking forward to updates!
Thank you so much for your support! :D
This visual novel looks rather promising. Keep up the good work.
